Details

The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) is the appointed body for the receipt and processing of product notifications used in the event of emergency health response in German Poison Centres (PC). Starting from 1 January 2021 the Poison Centres Notification format (PCN format) will be the only accepted format for the most notifiable products according Art. 45 and Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation. In addition to the product notifications of mixtures classified as hazardous on the basis of their health or physical effects, the BfR also receives product notifications of detergents and cleaning agents, checks and provides these to the seven German PC. The discussion about the current status of the new PCN procedure and the previous experiences of the BfR are in the focus of this conference.

The 12th BfR User Conference adresses all actors of the PCN procedure, such as industry (legal submitters), national and regional authorities and PCs in Europe, especially in Germany.
