This symposium will provide a platform for risk assessment experts, regulatory authorities and stakeholders to present and discuss important scientific and regulatory issues in the context of non-dietary exposure and risk assessment of plant protection products in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1107/2009 for authorisation in the EU. The symposium will focus on crucial aspects of exposure and risk assessment, which play an important role in ensuring the safety of plant protection products:

− Exposure assessment of operators, workers, residents and bystanders
− Assessment of co-formulants
− Risk mitigation measures
− Dermal absorption

The symposium aims to facilitate discussions on new scientific developments, challenges and approaches and to improve harmonisation between EU Member States.This exchange will ensure that assessment strategies for plant protection products in the EU will be fit for future while maintaining a high level of protection for human health.
